Apple Valley Farm was a 15 acres farm located in the heart of the Fairfield Mountain Resort of Lake Lure, NC. In the late 90’s, a lake was dug and the farm was converted to a motorcoach resort with 46 lots. This beautiful place is reserved for diesel coaches (minimum 35 feet) and folks wanting a perfect getaway in the NC Mountains. Paul Nealon, the founder of AVF, is a real visionary. When he looked at the rundown old barn located on Apple Valley Farm, he saw great possibilities. Because of him we have a wonderful place to have fun. Inside the barn there is a dining area with a handmade table that will seat 8 and a kitchen that has all the necessities, including a microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, dishes and utensils. The great room is just that and overlooks the lake.
For the outdoor person there is hiking, white water rafting, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, ATV trails and skiing in the winter. For the creative, you will find historical attractions, arts and crafts, the theater and concerts. Shoppers can “shop until they drop” at antique shops and outlets in downtown Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and all throughout the Great Smokey Mountains.
And then there’s golfing. Our unique location is in the heart of a 2,400 acre golf resort that has 2 championship golf courses, practice putting greens and driving ranges.
