Directions:
Westbound: From the junction of US-98 & Hwy-59 (in Foley): Go approximately 4 miles North on Hwy-59, then 5.6 miles West on CR-32, then 2.3 miles North on CR-9. Entrance is on the Right.
Eastbound: From the junction of US-98 & CR-48 (near Fairhope): Go 5.6 miles East on CR-48, then 1.4 miles South on CR-9. Entrance is on the Left.
At various times throughout the year Wales West plays host to special events. It has been a longstanding venue for live bluegrass music.
The park’s name (and inspiration) derives from the narrow gauge railways that still serve remote areas of Wales in Great Britain. On those “light railways”, the locomotives and cars are smaller, and they run on a “narrow gauge” — the distance between the tracks is 2 feet instead of 4 ft. 8½ inches for a standard railroad.
